Oilers Advance to First Stanley Cup Final Since 2006
The Edmonton Oilers have advanced to the Stanley Cup Final after defeating the Dallas Stars 2-1 in Game Six of the Western Conference Finals. The Oilers won the series 4-2 and will now face the Colorado Avalanche in the Stanley Cup Final.
The Oilers were led by Connor McDavid, who had a goal and an assist in the victory. Leon Draisaitl also scored for the Oilers, while Zach Hyman and Evan Bouchard each had two assists.
The Oilers are now third in the NHL in holding opponents to 25 shots on goal per game in the playoffs. Edmonton had a 50-38 advantage in high-danger chances in Game Six.
The Oilers will now face the Colorado Avalanche in the Stanley Cup Final. The Avalanche are the defending Stanley Cup champions and are considered to be one of the favorites to win the Cup this year.
